Principles of Purpose

  • Purpose is the key to life.

  • Without knowing you have a PURPOSEFUL God and a PERSONAL purpose, life will have little (if any) meaning.

  • To discover how to live with purpose we must return to God, who is the Author of purpose.

  • When we don’t discover our God-given purpose, we will live according to someone else’s.

  • Our fulfillment in life is dependent on our becoming and doing what we were born to be and do.

  • Everything in life has a purpose.

  • Nothing is truly yours until you understand it, including yourself.

  • We cannot truly know ourselves, until we discover our purpose – WHY ARE WE HERE?

  • We are designed perfectly for our purpose.

  • We are the WAY we are because of WHY we are.

  • Our birth is evidence that our purpose is necessary. (Jer. 1:5)

  • God’s purpose is not hindered by our past!

  • Our past has directly and indirectly prepared us for our unique purpose.

  • Our natural inclinations and proclivities are powerful clues to our purpose.

  • God does not require of us anything that He has not already placed within us.

  • We have the raw material (the seed) of what we need to be who we were called to be.

  • Time was given to you to fulfill your purpose in your generation. (Acts 13:36)

  • Purpose keeps us focused; it should determine our priorities, relationships…

  • Vision is as close as our deepest desires: all of the thoughts, ideas, plans, and dreams that remain consistent within us were put there by God.

  • "VISION is the idea that never leaves you, the dream that won't go away, the passion that won't subside, the "irritating" desire that's so deep you can't enjoy your current job because you're always thinking about what you wish you were doing. VISION is what you keep seeing, even when you close your eyes."
